Captain America may not be the flashiest of Avengers. He doesn’t have the tech savvy prowess and invincible suit that Iron Man has. He also doesn’t have the planet-smashing strength of the Hulk, or the god-like power of Thor. No, Steve Rodgers doesn’t need those; he leads the Avengers because of his outstanding character, his determination, and his incredible sense of justice. That’s what makes Captain America great, and why he has been an amazing role model for comic book fans for decades.
Steve Rodgers once told Peter Parker, “When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world, ‘No, you move.’” Above everything else, it is Captain America’s ability to inspire greatness in others that defines his character. Steve holds his ground as a 6” statue on the base of this fantastic lamp like a sentinel, shield at the ready, to defend what is right. The 16” tall lamp even displays a comic strip on the shade, adding a comic book feel to the entire piece.
This Captain America Statue Lamp stands firm on any kid’s shelf, dresser or nightstand, like a shining beacon of light and hope. Part statue, part lamp, but all justice.
