Tagsnintendo, video games
In the late 80’s, Nintendo was all about using cartoons to market their games. The best one was Captain N The Game Master. Not to be confused with Little Nemo the Dream Master or that other dude with knives for fingers. Captain N was a high school jock who gets sucked into the world of Nintendo armed with only a NES zapper. Of course he becomes pals with Pit from Kid Icarus, Castlevania’s Simon Belmont, and Mega Man. Together, they fight against the likes of Mother Brain from Metroid, Punchout’s King Hippo and Doctor Wily the evil genius in Mega Man. Let us not forget the most annoying recurring character, Eggplant Wizard.
Ahhh, old memories, and now that you have kids you can torture them every Saturday morning by pretending you bought this for them and not yourself. That’s right, purchase the DVD and for the next ten Saturdays you can wake them up at 7am, shouting “Get up, your favorite show is about to start.” They’ll never expect a thing and soon they’ll completely fall in love with it. Meanwhile, you can relax on the couch with a bowl of Lucky Charms, and reminisce on the good ol’ days.
Seriously, what’s more fun than once a month getting the family together to watch Captain N and then playing some old school Nintendo. Your kids will thank you for it when they’re older. Trust me.
