Most kids excell at one of two things, math or english. Building a solid foundation early on is sure way to encourage a strong reinforcement in both subjects. When we use games as a learning tool it introduces fun into something your kid might consider boring. Math Slam, does just that for children between the ages of 6-11.
The game uses addition and subtraction to teach your child the fundamentals of math. A problem will be displayed in the screen and you have to select the correct answer via multiple choice before the time limit. Each game features a series of thirteen questions. When a correct answer is given the game lights up and plays sounds. The good news is that if you miss a question it gets recycled for the next game.
This is a great idea for young kids who are struggling with math or those that love chasing after that high score. You might want to teach your kid not to throw things when they get an answer wrong. Make sure you grab three ‘C’ batteries to power it up.
