“Spin for hero or something to ride/ A Rival, a Treasure to find or to hide…”
So the rhyme goes about the Fairy Tale Spinning Game from eeBoo. Each player spins the arrow to collect a scene, a hero, a helper, rival, magical object, transportation, and a treasure. Once all of these elements have been gathered, the real challenge begins! The player who collects them all first must take the characters and objects and tell the story that weaves them all together. This deceptively simple game builds your child’s imagination and hones their speaking skills; it even won Oppnheim Toy Portfolio’s Best Toy Award.
This game is excellent for children who love fantasy worlds full of magical characters. It’s also a great way to help your very young kids grow into more complicated role-playing games like D&D! Although it seems to be marketed towards girls, both boys and girls alike are gifted and natural story-tellers, so your son will probably want to join in on the fun after observing a few rounds.
This story-telling game is beautifully illustrated and features characters of many skin colors, a rare find in many mainstream toys. It’s also made from 90% recycled materials, so really, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t purchase this gem of a game.
