Little Big Planet is one of the best games to come about in a long time, particularly when developers have more or less abandoned original IP’s (Intellectual Property) altogether and are churning out sequel after sequel. The game is a free-spirited platformer that requires players to work together as a team to survive levels and collect the hundreds of different items, outfits, stickers, and other oddities. Players can choose from a variety of avatars, but perhaps the most popular (probably because it’s the default) is that of Sackboy. He’s an adorable bag of fluffiness and joy that smacks untoward players in the face with a frying pan.
Artist JenTheTracy over at Etsy has beautifully rendered the sack of sunshine in watercolor, and is now selling prints for the very reasonable cost of fifteen bucks. The print is made with archival ink on acid-free paper, so the work should withstand the elements and ravages of time. If you really like the art, at the time of this going to press, she even still has the original painting available for sale as well. Of course, there’s exactly one of those in the entire world, so it’s possible by the time you read this it will already be sold. Still, the prints are very high quality, look lovely and Sackboy’s cuteness cannot be denied.
