Love 1 Love

I like to watch cat videos on the internet. It takes up a lot of my time and some may find this unhealthy, buy hey, there are worse things in life to be addicted to. And it’s not like I JUST enjoy watching the videos, I also enjoy writing about cats, too — especially my own. He likes to eat, sleep, chase lights, and occasionally likes to get high on catnip. He is the lord of the house even though he doesn’t pay rent, and I am a slave to his every beck and call.
I often daydream about what my cat would do if he weren’t a cat. Would he be a lawyer? A ninja? A secret agent? Or, would he be the greatest musician/rock star the world has ever seen, with cajillions of fans and his own line of kitty litter?! I know I sound a bit crazy, and that’s understandable, because we ALL know that the title of “Greatest Feline Rock Star” goes to Pete the Cat.
The cool, deadpan stare of music’s most influential kitty is gracing storybook pages once again in an adventure entitled, Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes. Pete’s calm and collected attitude (written by singer Eric Litwin) is exemplified once a run-in with strawberries turns his brand new school shoes a fierce shade of red. But all Pete wants to do is play his electric guitar, and could really care less about stains. Geared towards kids who love (and live) the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll, you and your babes will follow along with Pete as he moves around from one cool place to the next, grooving along, singing his songs, and never bothering to stop, “because it’s all good.” This is one cool book for cool kiddie cats that everyone can enjoy.
