The holiday town of Monte d’Or is being attacked by the mysterious Masked Gentleman, and it’s up to the expert puzzle solving skills of Professor Layton and his trusty apprentice Luke to save the day!
The latest entry in the Professor Layton series of games does not disappoint. In fact, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask may be the best in the series, cementing it as one of the must-play titles for the 3DS this holiday season. Miracle Mask finds the Professor and Luke in the fictional town of Monte d’Or, which serves as the backdrop for their investigation against the adversary of the game, the Masked Gentleman. The story unfolds through the town which is sprawling with interesting characters; nearly everyone you meet has a new problem for you. Featuring over 100 puzzles over the course of the main story, Miracle Mask marks the first time the series has used 3D technology, and it works beautifully.
The puzzles in Miracle Mask are some of the best yet. In usual fashion, they start out simple enough, but can become quite difficult as the story progresses. This time around, puzzles are added daily via online connectivity, adding a potential 365 more for your kids to solve! Miracle Mask may be more of the same, but is that really an issue when the Layton series is known for providing (arguably) the best puzzle games available?
