Love 2 Loves
Tagsearly elementary, preschooler, tween, vinyl figure, yo gabba gabba
For some reason Yo Gabba Gabba puts your two year old in a trance. He is like a zombie staring at a bunch of survivors who are on the other side of a moat. He can’t stop looking. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want to devour the characters, but he can’t take his eyes of the screen. I guess that is ok, it gives me time to write my own version of Fifty Shades of Grey.
So for the uninitiated, Yo Gabba Gabba is a cultural phenomenon for the preschool set, lots of singing, dancing, bright colors, an eclectic mix of guest stars (Amar’e Stodamire and MGMT to name a few), an omnipotent god-like figure and five toys that magically come to life. Ok, its pretty good and the songs are very catchy, but the one thing the show lacked is a presence in the toy aisle. But that all changes now with these new figures. Muno who is a red cyclops kind of looks like bumpy cactus (he’s very popular with the Moms for some reason), is a really great rendering, and will be a fixture on car seats and in the pouches of strollers for the foreseeable future.
Yes, Brobee, FooFa, Toodee, Plex and even DJ Lance Rock have figures as well.
